Axl aka. Lady A
My name is Axl, aka “Lady A”! I’m a petite kitty in search of a loving home where I can spend my retirement years. My favorite things are simply grooming, and spending time with a human companion. I love to lay in the sun and get a nice brushing, but my favorite things are cuddling up to a human and being petted. In the evening I occasionally like to bat around a toy or ball. Sometimes I will leave my toy next to my food dish as an indication of a well-served meal! I pay close attention to my health these days and require a daily dose of fiber in my diet – I like to remain a regular gal…ahem! It’s true that I am a little hard of hearing, I have some missing teeth, and my sight is not what it used to be but that doesn’t stop me from showing and enjoying great affection for my humans and loving life! Oh…and I like an evening treat before I climb into my fluffy pink bed for the evening.
Lady A is an amazingly joyful and grateful little kitty who wants so much to have a forever home. She came to 4Paws from West Virginia, where she was found in a very bad condition and severely emaciated at only five pounds. The vet didn’t think she would recover. But after lots of love, good food, and time, she has recovered into the most affectionate lap cat ever, and has such a gracious personality! She nearly doubled her weight and has a beautiful glossy black coat that is soft to cuddle with! She is a very easy cat to have and she would make a great single cat, or a companion to another gentle kitty. She is initially cautious in new situations, but with proper introductions (and treats!) she quickly adapts to new people and surroundings. She has not been around dogs, and older children will probably be OK, but younger children might be a bit scary.
She eats canned food and a prescription dry food. She is FIV and FeLV negative, and has been spayed, micro chipped, and is up to date with all vaccinations. Axl was born March 2010.
