Each adoption fair features anywhere from 10 to 30 cats and kittens.
Because all of our cats live in loving foster homes, you’ll often get the chance to meet their foster parents at fairs and learn more about each cat’s personality, quirks, and daily routines.
If you fall in love with a cat, just fill out our application and contract and follow the simple adoption steps. Applications usually take 4–5 days to process before your new companion can go home.
Want to make things even smoother? Submit your application a few days before the fair to get a head start and take the steps necessary to prepare for adoption.
If you use aluminum cat-food cans or aluminum beverage cans, please remove the labels, rinse them, and save them for 4Paws. Our aluminum recycling program helps cover the cost of food for cats in store cages and supports important vet care.

Can’t make it to a fair? No worries—many of our partner stores host adoptable cats throughout the week.
